摘要

《逃离》是加拿大第一位诺贝尔文学奖获奖作家艾丽丝·门罗的代表作。《逃离》中的女主人公卡拉在面对虚无恍惚的家庭时希望能体验一种更为真实的生活，由此而觉醒了女性意识的她决定逃离父母。组成了新的家庭之后，压抑的婚姻生活让卡拉决定再次逃离，这一次她对女性意识有了更深的领悟，最后决定回归婚姻并担负起自己的家庭责任。本文通过探究卡拉从家庭和婚姻中的两次逃离和最后的回归与其女性意识觉醒的关系，表明了唤醒女性意识的重要性，并揭示了影响女性意识觉醒的四大因素：家庭环境、自身的受教育程度、交友圈及婚姻对象。

Abstract

Runaway is a well-known work written by Alice Monro, who is the first Canadian writer to win the Nobel Prize for literature. Runaway portrays a story of an ordinary woman Carla who wished to live a more authentic life. With her female consciousness, she decided to escape from her indifferent family. After she married Clark, the depressed marriage life drove Carla to escape again. However, on the way she had a deeper understanding of her female consciousness and returned to take her responsibility in the marriage. This thesis aims to explore and study the relationship between Carla’s two different escapes from her family and marriage, and her return to her marriage, along with her female consciousness. The conclusion shows that it’s important for females to have female consciousness, which may be influenced by four key factors: family, educational level, friends and marriage.
