摘要

《呼啸山庄》现在被普遍认为是维多利亚时期最著名的小说之一。这部作品是艾米丽.布朗特最著名也是唯一的一部著作，其丰富内涵一直是国内外学者广为关注与研究的重点。
复仇，无可置疑是这部经典的主题之一。然而直到19世纪末，主人翁西斯克利夫的复仇行为才得到大家的认可甚至是同情。其复仇背后所反映的社会状况，人类的复仇以及对于美好事物的追求，以及作者的人生观，世界观，才被大家认可接受。
本论文对这部著作的研究从一下几个方面：第一部分：全面分析复仇的原因；第二部分：简单概括复仇的方式；第三部分：总结复仇的结果。第四部分：通过以上的分析总结，本论文进一步探讨人性复仇和宽恕的心里，即我们受到什么程度的伤害会让我们产生复仇心里，我们对于伤害的包容度又是多少。

Abstract
 
Nowadays, Wuthering Heights has been regarded as one of the most famous masterpieces in the Victorian era. It is the only novel of Emily Bronte, whose extent meanings and connotations have been the concerns of scholars all over the world.
Revenge, undoubtedly, is one of themes of this masterpiece, that goes through the whole work. Not until the end of the 19th century, the protagonist, Heathcliff’s revenge was understood and even sympathized. What are indicated, the social environment, human beings’ pursuit of beauty as well as the author’s view of the word and her life, included in the novel, began to be accepted.
This paper will do some analyses on this work from the following aspects. Part one is about some major reasons leading to Heathcliff’s revenge. Part two is to classify the way Heathcliff uses to revenge or how he treats others to get to his aim. In part three, there is a conclusion about the result of Heathcliff’s revenge. In part four, based on the analyses above, the paper probes into human’s psychology of revenge and forgiveness. In what degree, when we are hurt badly, still can we forgive others.
