摘  要

1887年英国作家阿瑟.柯南.道尔成功创造了举世瞩目的大侦探夏洛克.福尔摩斯，从诞生至今的一百多年间，福尔摩斯一直深受世界人民的喜爱。福尔摩斯是一个神奇的人物，他所拥有的广博的知识和永远充满理性的性格构成了他在各种悬疑案件中刺激、惊险的独特魅力，然而，他所展现的魅力不仅仅是在其所开创的演绎推理法上，同时作为一个普通的平民，他和常人无异的日常生活更显现出了他的侦探魅力。本文将通过阅读原著、查阅借鉴前人资料等方法，从福尔摩斯日常生活和传奇办案手法方面逐步对福尔摩斯这一传奇人物形象进行了分析，以另一个角度深度剖析福尔摩斯深受世界人民欢迎的原因：他既是一个神奇的侦探又是一个有着各种缺点的平民形象。

Abstract

It is well known that detective Sherlock Holmes was created by the famous British writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887, ever since he was created, Sherlock Holmes has become more than attractive for a hundred years. Sherlock Holmes is surely an amazing legend for most people in the world, his profound knowledge and rational characteristic makes him attractive when he solves different murderous cases, however, Sherlock Holmes shows his charm not only in his method to solve the murderous cases – the science of deduction, but also in his daily life as anyone else in the world. In retrospect, for many decades most writers at home and abroad wrote their works about Holmes, displaying Sherlock Holmes’s positive aspects to us. This paper intends to present an all-sided image of Sherlock Holmes – the image of wisdom and intelligence, who is both a brilliant detective with powerful ability to deduce and solve mysterious cases and an ordinary man with quite many shortcomings like anyone else. Via reading the original work, searching the works written by ancestors and doing research in the library, this paper analyzes why Sherlock Holmes is so popular in the world, and comes to the conclusion that Sherlock Holmes, as a detective，he is the embodiment of justice and a symbol of mercy, but on the other hand, as a ordinary man, he has many shortcomings.
