摘要 

《哈利•波特》这部系列小说是由英国作家乔安妮•凯瑟琳•罗琳所创作的。这个系列小说可以说是西方文坛的一个伟大奇迹。罗琳在这部小说中创作了许多特色人物，如勇敢的哈利，聪明的赫敏和可靠的罗恩。而阿不思•邓布利多，小说中霍格沃茨魔法学校的校长，也是这个系列小说中的中的特色人物之一。提到西方文学就不得不提到基督精神。基督精神是西方文学中的重要组成部分。基督精神最初的也是最基本的内涵包括爱，牺牲，正直和责任。本文从基督精神的内涵出发分析邓布利多这个人物的性格特征。通过对邓布利多的言行的分析，从而进一步了解西方文学与基督精神的变化关系。

Abstract

The novel series of Harry Potter were written by J. K. Rowling, an English woman author. It is no doubt a great wonder in the literary world of time. There are many featuring characters in this novel: brave Harry, smart Herminone, and loyal Ron. Albus. Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts, is one of the important characters in this story. The Christian spirit is one of the important parts in Western Literature. Its first and basic connotation is love, sacrifice, righteousness, and responsibility. Based on the Christian spirit, this study aims at analyzing Dumbledore’s speech and behavior, which makes it much easier for people to have a more particular knowledge of the changing relationship between Christian spirit and Western Literature

1.1    Background information
Joanne Rowling is an English fiction writer who writes under the pen name J. K. Rowling. She wrote seven books of Harry Potter. The names of them are Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone (1997), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (1998), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (1999), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2000), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2003), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2007).The main stage of the first six books is happening in Hogwarts School. These six books write about the adventures and study of Harry and his best friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger in Hogwarts. The last one talks about the final confrontation between Harry and Lord Voldemort. The main story tells about Harry’s struggle to the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry’s parents in his babyhood and quested to conquer the Magic world and rule the non-magical people. The novel builds a large colorful world, both love and evil. The series of Harry Potter is no doubt a great wonder in the literary world of time. Only in ten years, it created a wonder which never happened: the novel has been translated into more than 70 languages and published in more than 100 countries and regions. It is sold about 325 million in the world. It becomes a favorite book beyond the country, nationality, sex, belief and culture. It is welcomed by different classes and all ages from different cultural.
