Rhetorical Devices Applied in English Commercial Advertisements of Electronic Product and its Translation
Abstract
Advertisement is vivid, humorous, concise, simple and refined. The proper use of rhetorical devices in advertisement of electronic product can not only enrich the expression of language, but also arouse readers’ emotional associations to accurately advertise the characteristics of electronic product. This article discusses several commonly used rhetorical devices, and combines successful advertising cases to analyze the function and application of rhetorical devices in electronic English advertisements. Based on the principle of translation, the research of translation theorists, various methods of translation of speech are summarized.
This paper can be divided into three major structural parts. Part one introduces advertisements of electronic product, part two presents rhetoric application in commercial English advertisements of electronic product. Part Three introduces their translation methods of English advertisement rhetoric of electronic product.
This paper focuses on the analysis of rhetorical devices in English commercial advertising and points out that rhetoric plays an active role in commercial advertisement. On this basis, the author discusses the method of translation of English commercial advertisements from the perspective of rhetoric, in order to be able to better advertise products, increase product visibility, and establish a good brand image.
