摘要

众所周知，语言是文化的载体，且语言的形成和文化的发展相互影响。同样地，词汇是传播语言的基本工具。在人类历史的漫长历程中，动物渐渐成为了人类最好的朋友。因此，中英文中都有数不胜数的动物词汇。然而，中英动物词的文化内涵存在差异，且长期影响着这两种文化及经济的发展。为了实现更顺畅的中英交流，从两国的地理、历史、和心理背景来区分出这些差异具有关键意义。本文采用比较分析和横向分析的方法，找出了中英动物词文化内涵的差异，并探究了其形成原因。除了以上两点，为了促成中英文使用者之间的无障碍交流，本文还通过举例细讲了一些典型动物禁忌语。通过此次研究发现，这些文化差异以几种不同的形式出现，且其成因是由自然环境和人类文明发展息息相关的，从长远看，此课题不仅能促进中英文化的融合，还对中英文教育的完善有益，以致于促进跨国经济的快速发展。因此，该课题需要被重视并深入研究。
