摘要

随着世界经济的不断发展，商务新闻在人们日常生活中扮演着越来越重要的角色。人们通过阅读商务新闻，了解世界各国经济发展状况，掌握最新的的经济发展信息。因此，阅读商务新闻已经成为许多人的习惯。当我们阅读商务新闻时，我们会发现大量的概念隐喻存在于商务新闻中。本篇论文主要研究的问题是概念隐喻如何具体运用于商务新闻，即在英语商务新闻的实际语境中，利用概念隐喻理论，分析其在英语商务新闻中的应用，帮助广大英语商务新闻阅读者更好，更准确的理解商务新闻中的经济概念。其主要研究方法是先大量搜集与该课题相关的文献资料、学术期刊，接着梳理归纳并借鉴前人的研究成果，最后在理解的基础上加以应用并得出结论。首先，通过对隐喻的发展史和概念隐喻的概念进行简单介绍，让人们知道什么是概念隐喻。其次，具体分析商务新闻中三种概念隐喻的运用，实体隐喻，结构隐喻以及方位隐喻。最后就是本篇论文的结论和意义。本篇论文的主要发现是概念隐喻广泛存在于商务新闻中，其中，有些概念隐喻显而易见,而有些概念隐喻则已经失去了概念隐喻的特色，成为特定的经济术语，对概念隐喻没有深入了解的人，他们将会很容易忽略其存在。此外，本篇论文一方面让大家认识到更多的概念隐喻，另一方面是提高了人们的认知能力,因为概念隐喻不仅仅是个修辞手法，更是一种认知机制。

Abstract

With the continuous development of the world economy, business news is playing an increasingly important role in people’s daily life. By reading business news, people are able to learn about the economic situation of different countries in the world and grasp the latest information of economic development. So, reading business news has been a habit for many people. When people read business news, it is not difficult for them to discover that there are many conceptual metaphors. This paper mainly studies how conceptual metaphors are applied in business news. That is to say, in the actual context of businss news, using the conceptual metaphor theory to analyze conceptual metaphor’s application in business news. The main research method is to collect a large amount of literature and academic journals related to the subject, and then sort out and draw out the results of previous studies, and finally to apply on the basis of understanding and draw a conclusion. Firstly, by introducing the developing history of metaphor and definition of conceptual metaphor, people will know what is conceptual metaphor. Then, analyzing the application of three kinds of conceptual metaphor in business news, the ontological metaphor, structural metaphor and orientational metaphor. At last, it is the conclusion and significance of this paper. The main finding of this thesis is that conceptual metaphors are widely existed in business news. Some conceptual metaphors are easy to understand, while others have lost the characteristics of conceptual metaphor and became specific economic terms. People who do not have some deep knowledge about conceptual metaphor, they will ignore it naturally. Besides, on the one hand, this thesis is to make people learn more about conceptual metaphors. On the other hand, it can improve people’s cognitive ability, because conceptual metaphor is not only a rhetorical device, but also a cognitive mechanism.
