摘要

语言是文化的载体，两者之间有着十分紧密的联系。中外各个国家名族的文化和习俗都会在语言中体现出来。而其中习语更是凝结着一个名族的文化和智慧，是语言的精华。随着时代的发展，动物已经成为了人类最好的伙伴，人类与动物的命运息息相关，并且动物对人类语言的发展有着巨大的影响。在中英两种语言中存在着大量的动物习语，动物习语形象生动，展示着一个民族的文化，宗教，和历史风情。由于文化之间存在着较大的差异，因此不同语言中的动物习语其实存在着很大的差异，如果人们只从字面上去理解中外习语，就会引起一定程度上的误解。因此笔者希望通过研究中外动物习语之间的差别，从而能够对人们了解中英两种文化之间的不同起到一定的帮助，从而更好的了解西方文化。
