目的论视角下的中式菜名翻译-以《舌尖上的中国》为例_英语论文
C-E Translation of Chinese Dishes from the Perspective of Skopos Theory——A Case Study of A Bite of China
摘要
中式菜肴作为中国文化的一个重要组成部分有着悠久的历史。对中式菜名英译的研究给西方人提供了更多了解中国文化的机会。《舌尖上的中国》是一部质量上乘的纪录片,它讲述了中国各地的美食故事。片中别具一格的美食深受人们的追捧。因此,将中式菜名翻译成英文便具有深远的意义,以期西方人能够对中国文化有很好的了解。
本文试图从目的论视角对《舌尖上的中国》的菜名英译作一探讨。首先,本文介绍目的论背景、研究意义及目的论对菜名英译的指导作用;接着,文章对《舌尖上的中国》中菜名的特点进行了分析;基于以上研究,文章提出了菜名英译应遵循的翻译原则,且对菜名英译的具体策略进行了探讨。通过对本课题的研究,文章希望引起更多研究者对菜名英译课题的重视,以期更好地向世界传播中华饮食文化。

Abstract
Chinese diet, as an important component of Chinese culture, has a long history. Studies of C-E translation of dish names provide westerners opportunities to know more about Chinese culture. A Bite of China, the high-ended documentary tells the story of food in different regions of China. The delicious food with unique characteristics has already won great popularity. Therefore, it is meaningful to translate Chinese dish names into English in the hope that westerners will have a better understanding of Chinese culture.
This paper intends to make a study on the skopostheoretic translation of Chinese dish names in A Bite of China. First of all, the paper introduces the background and its significance of the research and it gives an introduction of skopos theory and the guidance of skopos theory to translation of dish names. Then it makes an analysis of features of Chinese dish names in A Bite of China. And finally, on the basis of that, it comes up with some translation principles which should be observed in C-E translation of Chinese dish names. Furthermore, it puts forward some specific translation strategies of Chinese dish names. It is hoped that this paper will arouse more researchers’ attention to the study of Chinese dish names translation and spread Chinese dietetic culture throughout the world in a better way.
