目的论视角下的字幕翻译研究-以《乱世佳人》为例_英语论文

A Study of Subtitle Translation from the Perspective of Skopos Theory – A Case study of Gone with the Wind

摘要

电影产业迅猛发展，大量的国内影视作品走出国门引入国外，与此同时，国外的影视作品也涌入国内市场。因此，中国观众所接触的国外作品越来越多。由于语言和文化上的差异，中国观众并不能准确的把握电影的主题与思想。为了使中国观众更好的理解和欣赏外国影视作品，字幕翻译就显得尤其重要，这已引起了越来越多的研究者重视。

本文试图从目的论的视角对电影《乱世佳人》字幕翻译进行探讨。文章首先对字幕的定义、类别、字幕翻译的特点、翻译策略等进行描述；此后文章从目的论的视角对英文影片《乱世佳人》的字幕翻译进行了分析;并在此基础上，对电影字幕翻译提出具体的翻译策略。通过本课题的研究，希望电影字幕翻译能够得到更多研究者的关注。

Abstract

Movie industry enjoyed the vigorous development. A large number of domestic film and television works are exporting to the world while a flood of foreign audiovisual productions are also pouring into China. More and more films are exposed to the Chinese audience .Chinese audience can't accurately grasp the theme of the movie and thought owing to the differences concerning culture and language. For the sake of letting Chinese audience understand and appreciate the foreign films better, subtitle translation seems particularly important, which has aroused the attention of more and more scholars.

This thesis attempts to study the subtitle translation based on the movie Gone with the Wind from the perspective of skopostheorie. Firstly, the thesis gives the definition, classification, features of subtitle translation and functions of subtitle translation. Hereafter, it analyzes the subtitle translation of English movie Gone with the Wind under the guidance of Skopostheorie. And on this basis, it puts forward specific translation strategies as far as subtitle translation is concerned. Finally, it is hoped that through the researchers will pay more attention to the study of subtitle translation .
