从功能对等理论看商务合同的英译_英语论文

On C-E Translation of Business Contracts from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory

摘要

近年来，中国加入世贸组织，经济飞速发展，与世界各国贸易往来密切。            

随着二十国集团峰会在中国的召开以及“一带一路”建设的发展，中国在国际贸易舞台上更是具有举足轻重的地位。国际贸易的往来要求各位当事人都必须签订商务合同，只有这样，当事人的权利和义务才能得到维护，贸易活动才能正常运行。因此，在国际贸易交往活动中，商务合同必不可少。

通过分析，笔者认为奈达的功能对等理论对商务合同的英译具有很好的指导作用。签署合同的当事人来自不同地域和国家，接收不同的语言和文化，由此了解目的语国家的语言和文化十分必要。在此基础上更要加深对商务合同语言的了解和学习，选择符合目的语国家语言的贴切表达来展现原文意思以达到功能对等。

Abstract

China has been enjoying an increasingly close trade relationship with other countries as its economy develops quickly and it joins the WTO in recent years. And it has been also affecting the international trade stage amid the opening of G20 submit in China and the development of Silk Belt and Road Initiative. It is necessary and imperative to conclude business contracts in a way that confirm the rights and obligations of all parties and keep the activities going well in the international trades. This is why the business contracts stand so importantly in the global trades.

The author finds that the functional equivalence theory directs the C-E translation of business contracts well by observation and analysis. It is widely acknowledged that the parties who conclude contracts come from different countries and boast disparate environment of language and culture. Therefore, the characteristics of language and culture of target language countries as well as the business contracts language should be learned if the functional equivalence wants to be achieved in the business contracts translation. Meanwhile, the authentic expressions have to be applied during the translation.
