摘要

本文选取《诗经·国风》中的部分植物意象的英译作为研究对象。在接受美学理论的指导下，笔者对James Legge和汪榕培两位译者译本中的部分植物意象英译做了对比研究。本文详细介绍了《诗经·国风》国内外的研究现状以及植物意象的定义、发展历程和分类。通过比较几个所选植物意象的英译，笔者指出这两位译者在对《诗经·国风》进行英译时，都充分考虑了目标读者的期待视野，他们的植物意象英译都符合接受美学的标准，并总结出导致两位译者译本存在差异的因素：文化背景、历史背景及翻译目的。
