目的论视角下电影《功夫熊猫3》的字幕汉译研究_英语论文

Research On The Subtitle Translation Of Kung Fu Panda 3 Into Chinese From The Skopos Theory 

摘要

随着国家之间文化交流的不断发展，大量外国影视作品引入中国。由于语言和文化上的差异，为使中国观众能够更好地接受外国影视作品，了解其主题和内容，影视作品的字幕翻译应运而生并逐步发展。然而目前国内对于字幕翻译的研究尚不成熟，电影字幕质量参差不齐，褒贬不一，很多翻译都饱受诟病。从一定程度来说，观众对电影的接受度与电影字幕的翻译质量密切相关，而2016的影片《功夫熊猫3》获得了票房与口碑的双丰收，其高质量的字幕翻译功不可没。本文尝试从目的论的角度出发，通过对《功夫熊猫3》的电影字幕与目的论的目的原则、连贯原则和忠实原则相联系，分析指出字幕的翻译要能够反映影片类型，表达人物真情实感并塑造人物形象，在符合汉语语言习惯的同时也要注意忠实原文的意图。望本文可以为其他影片的字幕翻译提供一种借鉴。

Abstract

With a growing cultural exchange among different countries, a large number of foreign films are introduced into China. Due to language barriers and cultural differences, subtitle translations come into being and develop gradually so that Chinese audiences can appreciate those films and understand their themes and contents. However, the research on the subtitle translation in China is immature at present. The uneven qualities of the translated subtitles draw mixed responses, and even some of translations are criticized. The acceptance of a foreign film, to some extent, is closely related to its translated subtitle. In this case, the film Kung Fu Panda 3, released in 2016, has won the harvest of both huge box office and favorable reputation thanks to its high-quality subtitle translation. This paper attempts to analyze the subtitle translation of Kung Fu Panda 3 from the perspective of the Skopos Theory. Through connected with the theory including the skopos rule, the coherence rule and the fidelity rule, the subtitle translation should demonstrate the film type, express genuine feelings and create vivid characters. It should conform to Chinese language habits as well as the intention of the source text. This paper can provide some references for other film subtitle translation.
