《茶经》的翻译策略初步研究-从翻译补偿理论角度_英语论文
A Preliminary Study on the Translation Strategies of The Classic of Tea----from the Perspective of Translation Compensation Theory
摘要
如今,越来越多的人都致力于研究中国茶典籍的翻译,希望能够找到有效的方法去克服翻译过程中的障碍。在众多茶典籍中,由唐代茶圣陆羽所著的《茶经》是代表作。因此,《茶经》的翻译对于研究其它茶典籍的翻译有着重大意义。目前《茶经》的英译本有好几种版本,本文列出的有All about tea,The Classic of Tea: Origins & Rituals 和 The Classic of Tea。通常情况下,为了使译文能够更加的完善,译者们往往会采用很多翻译理论,翻译补偿理论就是其中一种。这一理论指的是译者可以采取补译的方式来进一步解释说明原文,使得原语与目的语能够传达相同的意义。基于这一理论,接下来对于《茶经》的翻译分析被分为了四个层面——词汇层面,语音层面,修辞层面以及文化层面。希望本文能够对《茶经》的理解起到一定帮助。

Abstract
Nowadays, more and more people devote themselves to studying the translation of Chinese tea classics, aiming at finding effective ways to overcome the barriers in the process of translation. Among Chinese tea classics, The Classic of Tea is the masterpiece, which was written by Tea Saint Lu Yu in Tang Dynasty (A.D.733-804). So the translation of The Classic of Tea plays a very significant role in the researches on the translation of other tea classics. The present English translation of this book has several versions such as All About Tea, The Classic of Tea: Origins & Rituals and The Classic of Tea. Generally, to make the translation more thorough, translators may apply many kinds of translation theories, one of which is translation compensation theory. This theory means that translators can use additional translation to further explain the original text to make the original language and the target language convey the same meaning. Based on this theory, the following analysis on the translation of The Classic of Tea is divided into four aspects——lexical level, phonological level, rhetorical level and cultural level. The purpose of writing this thesis is in the hope that it can be helpful to the understanding of The Classic of Tea.
