从风俗习惯中的动物习语看中英文化差异_英语论文
The Cultural Differences Between Chinese and English Animal Idioms In Customs and Habits
摘要
语言是人类最重要的交际工具。正因为语言的产生人类文明的成果才得以保存和传递。语言是民族的重要特征之一,每个民族都有自己的语言。同时语言也是人类交流思想的媒介,人类通过语言来了解对方及对方的文化。习语是语言中的常见形式,是经过千锤百炼的语言精华,是在不同的历史、地理环境和文化背景下形成的,承载着一定的民族文化特色和文化信息。英汉两种语言历史悠久,包含着大量的习语, 而其中与动物有关的习语被人们广泛地使用。英汉动物习语体现了中西文化的差异。
本文选取中英具有代表性风俗习惯中的动物习语,比较它们的差异,并分析和论述中英动物习语差异的主要原因是中英文化的差异随之分析其中的文化差异。

Abstract
Language is the most important communication tool of mankind. The fruit of human civilization was able to be preserved and passed down because of the existence of language. Language is one of the important features of a nation, and every nation has its own languages. Language is also the medium of human communication. Through a language, people can understand other people’s cultures. Idioms are the common form and the essence of a language, and are formed in different historical, geographical and cultural background, carrying a certain national cultural characteristics and information. Both England and China have a long history, and they have a large number of idioms, including widely used animal idioms. At the same time, animal idioms reflect the similarities and differences between Chinese and English cultures.
This paper chooses some typical animal idioms in Chinese and English customs to compare and analyze their differences cultural connotations The main reasons for the different symbolic meaning are cultural difference, then this paper analyzes the cultural differences.
