Impact of Intelligent Mobile Phone on English Teaching and Learning in Classroom Setting

摘要

随着移动互联网信息时代的发展,智能手机越来越普及,功能也越来越强大，已经被应用到生活中的许多方面。智能手机方便了人与人之间的信息沟通，是我们了解世界的重要窗口和途径，它在丰富了我们的生活同时，也给我们当代课堂提出新的挑战。智能手智能手机进入大学课堂，给传统课堂秩序带来巨大冲击。大学教师不能单纯通过“禁止”或“批评”方式维护教学秩序，最好的选择莫过于利用智能手机便捷的功能和互动功能，新课堂教学手段，让学生在占有资料的前提下更充分地讨论，并将教学延伸到课堂之外，拓展教学的空间和时间。本论文通过分析大学生智能手机的使用情况研究智能手机在课堂内外对英语教学的影响。并且对高校，教师，学生提出合理的建议，从而使智能手机能够在英语课堂起到积极作用。

Abstract

With the development of the mobile in the internet information era, the intelligent mobile phone is becoming more and more popular with more and more powerful functions which have been applied to many aspects in our daily life. The intelligent mobile phone facilitating the communication among people is an important window and approach to keep up with the world. At the same time, it not only enriches our lives, but also brings new challenges to our contemporary classes. Intelligent mobile phones bring the huge impact on the traditional classroom order since it enters into university classrooms. The university teachers cannot simply use ‘no’ or ‘criticism’ way to maintain the teaching order. The best choice is to use the convenient and interactive functions of intelligent mobile phones to innovate teaching methods which can let students fully discuss in the premise of possessing more space. This paper probes into the impacts of intelligent mobile phones on English teaching and learning in classroom settings according to analyzing intelligent mobile phone usage of college students and throws out reasonable suggestions to college authority, teachers and students. So intelligent mobile phones can play an active role in English classes.
