生态翻译学视角下戏剧《奥赛罗》两个中译本的对比研究_英语论文
A Comparative Study on Two Chinese Versions of the Drama Othello from the Perspective of Eco-translatology

Abstract
Othello, one of the four Shakespearean Tragedies, was written by Shakespeare in about 1603. It was said that the drama had premiered in November 1st ,1604 at Whitehall Palace in London. Its compact structure and dramatic plot have made it the most perfect Shakespearean Tragedy. The drama tells a story that Venice journal Othello fells in love with a nobility’s daughter Desdemonu but kills her because of other’s accusation and finally kills himself after knowing the truth. However, due to language barriers, most Chinese readers have to depend on Chinese versions to enjoy it, so the Chinese translation is of more importance. Eco-translatology defines the translational eco-environment as a system which involves the source language, the source text and the target language and states that translation is a process of the translator’s adaptation and selection to the translational eco-environment. The thesis tries to compare the two Chinese versions of Othello from the perspective of Eco-translatology, hoping to explore in great depth the application of Eco-translatology in drama translation.
