从佩雷尔曼论辩修辞学视角分析奥巴马演讲-以2004年演讲为例_英语论文
Analysis of Obama’s Speech from Perelman’s Argumentation—a Case Study of the Speech in 2004
摘要
国内从佩雷尔曼论辩修辞学视角对奥巴马演讲的研究多集中于受众理论,而鲜有涉足于论辩出发点和论辩技巧。本文不仅从受众理论视角还从论辩出发点和论辩技巧视角对奥巴马的演讲进行了更全面的分析。通过分析最后发现,奥巴马是一位善于运用论辩技巧达到说服目的的雄辩能手和政治家,他运用佩雷尔曼的普遍受众、论辩出发点和论辩技巧这三个理论,使得受众接受认可了他的观点,因而他的演讲获得巨大成功。从另一方面来说,佩雷尔曼的论辩修辞学理论对我们分析政治演说具有一定的指导性,可以帮助我们判断政治演讲的好坏。

Abstract
The researches on Obama’s speeches in China from the perspective of Perelman’s argumentation are mostly focused on the universal audience, and seldom focused on his starting points of argumentation and argument techniques. This paper researches Obama’s speech not only from the perspective of audience theory, but also from the starting points of argumentation and the argument techniques which made a more complete analysis of Obama’s speech. According to the study, it has been found out that Obama is an excellent speaker and outstanding politician who is good at employing argument techniques to persuade others. He used Perelman’s universal audience, the starting points of argumentation and the argument techniques and made his audience accepted and believed his opinions. Thus, his speech gained great success. On the other hand, it is obvious Perelman's argumentation theory has guidance on our analysis of political speeches and can help us judge the quality of political speeches.
