摘要

委婉语是一种常见的语言现象。人们通常使用委婉语来表达自己观点,以免伤害他人的感情。委婉语在社会生活中不可或缺，因此理解其在日常交际中的运用至关重要。本文以Verschueren的顺应理论为理论指导，以美剧《破产姐妹》中的人物对话为研究语料，研究委婉语在日常对话中的顺应性特征。本文通过收集《破产姐妹》中含有委婉语的例子，探讨了在动态交际语境下，委婉语如何适应心理世界、社交世界和物质世界。研究表明，语言使用者在使用委婉语时应该对动机、情感、社会习俗等因素进行顺应。因此本研究有助于学习者掌握委婉语的特点，适当地运用委婉语，从而更好地在不同交际语境中进行交际。
