On E-C Translation Strategies of The Hunger Games from the Perspective of Relevance Theory_英语论文
摘要
由美国著名小说家苏珊·柯林斯创作的具有反乌托邦特色的青少年科幻小说《饥饿游戏》自出版以来,收到了中外读者的热烈欢迎,也受到了文学界的一致好评。本文旨在关联理论的指导下,从词汇,短语,句子和文化四个方面出发,选取部分翻译实例分析译者采取了何种翻译策略来取得最佳关联。以关联理论为理论框架,研究耿芳译者所译版本采取了具体哪种翻译策略,给目标读者创造充分的语境效应以达到最佳关联。在本次研究中,作者采用了选词法,转换法,增译法,虚实转换法,拆分法,省略法,注释法和直入法八种翻译策略。研究的意义在于,国内对于《饥饿游戏》的研究主要从综述、主题和审美三个方面出发,在翻译方面也聚焦于两个中文译本的对比或从特定翻译角度出发。研究采用新的角度,运用关联理论对翻译的解释力分析耿芳所译的《饥饿游戏》中文版本。同时为旨在青少年小说的翻译提供理论和实践参考。

Abstract
Since the publication of the young adult sci-fi dystopian adventure novel The Hunger Games, which was written by the famous American novelist Susan Collins, it has received warmly welcome from universal readers and the literary circles. This thesis aims to select some translation examples from four levels of word, phrase, sentence and culture under the guidance of relevance theory to analyze translation strategies adopted by the translator in order to achieve the optimal relevance. Under the theoretical framework of relevance theory, this thesis analyzes the Chinese version translated by Geng Fang(耿 芳, 2010), who achieves the optimal relevance in translation by using specific translation strategies to create an adequate contextual effect for the target readers. In this research, diction, conversion, addition, abstraction and specification, division, omission and annotation and direct expression are used by the translator. This thesis adopts a new perspective, utilizing the explanatory power of relevance theory to analyze the Chinese version of The Hunger Games, aiming to offer theoretical or practical references to young adult fiction translation.
