A Research on the Subtitle Translation of The Legend of 1900 from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence_英语论文
摘要
全球化的推进为世界各国提供了文化交流的机会,人们可以方便地观看外国电影和电视节目。然而,由于语言和文化的差异,大多数观众都面临难以理解外国电影所传达的文化和价值的困难。因此,字幕翻译作影片与观众沟通的辅助工具,变得越来越重要。本文从奈达的功能对等理论的角度,对电影《海上钢琴师》的电影字幕的翻译进行研究,探讨了它们是否达到了功能对等,以及如何达到功能对等。最后根据研究结果,本文对字幕翻译提出了一些建议。

Abstract
The advance of the globalization offers countries all over the world an opportunity to culture exchange, making people access to the foreign movies and TV programs conveniently. However, due to the language and culture differences, most audiences face the challenges of understanding culture and value that foreign films convey. Therefore, subtitle translation, as an auxiliary tool for communication between film and audience, becomes increasingly important. Under the guidance of Nida’s functional equivalence theory, this paper studies the subtitle translation of the film The Legend of 1900 and discusses whether and how do they achieve functional equivalence. Finally, some strategies for subtitle translation to achieve functional equivalence are summarized.
