摘要

在众多外国影视剧中，《神探夏洛克》可谓是闻名遐迩，第一季播出后就在全球范围内掀起热潮。但由于各国之间语言和文化的差异，不利于更好地欣赏这部作品，优秀的字幕翻译便逐渐凸显出它的重要性。本文试图通过研究目的论在英国影视剧《神探夏洛克》字幕汉译的应用，对字幕翻译的实践产生一定的指导作用。

本文以目的论为理论依据，从目的论的三原则对《神探夏洛克》字幕汉译进行具体分析，以此说明目的论如何在其中得以运用。首先介绍了本研究的背景和意义；然后简要概述了影视字幕翻译的相关研究等；接着介绍了目的论的理论框架，具体内容；跟着以英剧《神探夏洛克》为例，通过对一些典型的台词翻译的例子的分析来说明目的论在此剧字幕汉译中的应用；最后，笔者对全文进行了总结并指出了本研究的结果,局限性以及建议。笔者认为以目的论作为理论指导，译者可以更好地将源语信息传递给译入语读者，使得影视字幕翻译更加规范，同时希望本研究的观点也能对字幕翻译的实践有一定的指导作用。
