本文从跨文化交际学入手，研究经典美剧《老友记》中的俚语翻译，探讨跨文化交际学与翻译的关系、俚语翻译的方法、适用情况。进一步探讨俚语背后自身的文化内涵对于翻译的重要性、跨文化交际学对俚语翻译研究的意义，以及如何培养自己翻译俚语的技巧、如何培养自己的相关文化素养，成为一名合格的译者。
