摘要 

美国情景喜剧一直深受广大民众的喜爱，因为它在愉悦观众身心的同时，还能让大家学习英语国家的文化以及纯正的英语表达。《破产姐妹》是近年来非常受国人欢迎的美国情景喜剧，其中人物角色的幽默对话常常让人捧腹大笑。剧中许多的台词实则幽默，但其笑点却很难为观众所捕获。因此，本文从语用学的角度出发进行研究，为观众深入挖掘其台词的含义并了解幽默的产生机制。 

Grice的合作原则就是当代语用学中一个非常重要的分支，他在解释幽默的产生机制中起着重要作用。本文首先介绍了合作原则理论及其相关概念，其次简述违反、遵循合作原则与产生幽默的关系，着重分析该剧中的角色故意违反合作原则时所产生的幽默会话含义，并对研究结果进行总结。
