摘要 

本篇论文集中分析了毛姆对中国文化的认知和毛姆对中国文化认知背后隐藏的信息。通过研究毛姆在《在中国屏风上》一书中描写他所见所感选用的词汇来揭露他对中国文化不同的态度；通过分析影响毛姆对中国文化认知的历史、时代、自身因素，可以了解到毛姆对中国文化认知的不同观点和一些外部因素及其自身因素有关。在阅读外国作家作品时，分析作品背后的文化差异和影响因素可避免对作家作品的误读。
