摘要

诗歌作为中华文化的宝贵财产,是《西游记》中不可或缺的一部分，有一定的研究价值和研究意义。因此，本文旨在前人对《西游记》诗词的研究基础上，通过比较余国藩与詹纳尔的英译版本，在德国功能派的理论基础上，从《西游记》中的格律诗的功能作用角度出发，对《西游记》诗词中的格律诗进行分析。

本文在第三章归纳总结出《西游记》诗词中所有格律诗的特点并对分类的格律诗进行详细的翻译比较是否完整地翻译并表达出原有诗词在小说中所应用的功能。本文的重点在于第四章对余国藩与詹纳尔的译文中格律诗的翻译的比较。为了有一个详细的分析结果，第四章节将从《西游记》中格律诗所发挥的五个功能作用方面进行定量研究，即需要用到一些数据研究。

研究结果表明在词汇方面，余国藩的译文会更加灵活，词汇量上也较为丰富。同时在语句上，余国藩的译文更偏向于短语式的翻译而詹纳尔的译文比较倾向于散文式翻译。但是从语篇层面上看，余国藩的译文从正式程度上比詹纳尔的译文更加正式官方一点，也有效地保留了原文的大多数信息；而詹纳尔的译文更加符合西方读者从习惯，且会对原文的结构进行改变以符合语言习惯。
