摘要 

许多中国大学生对他们的英语能力，特别是听力方面，经常尝试了各种方法，但很少见到良好的效果。因此，为了讨论如何提高大学生的英语听力能力，也是基于阅读英文刊物在大学生学习英语过程中的重要性，对英文杂志《经济学人》的内容进行了概括，然后对其易读性做了探究，同时通过收集分析文献等相关材料，并加以总结，得出了以下结论：因为《经济学人》文章的内容和语言具有一定难度，所以通过阅读它，大学生的英语听力能力可以受到许多方面的积极影响，比如可以在词汇、语法、逻辑性、背景知识及语言风格方面得到提升。
