On Translation Strategies of Culture-loaded Words in the English Versions of Teahouse_英语论文

摘要

文化负载词是标志着某种文化中特有事物的词、词组和习语，它直接反应了特定民族在漫长的历史进程中逐渐积累的，不同于其他民族的独特的活动方式。《茶馆》是老舍先生的一部经典作品，该戏剧以老北京的一个大型茶馆-裕泰茶馆的兴衰变迁做为背景，通过对茶馆中的一些人物的描述，反映了清末戊戌变法失败后50年来中国社会的巨大变化和人民悲惨的生活状况。《茶馆》涵盖了诸多文化负载词，承载着中国独特的文化内涵。本文以《茶馆》两个英译本(英若城和霍华德）为例考察两位译者在处理文化负载词时所选择的翻译策略。
