On the Influence of Cultural Factors on English Translation of Six Chapters of a Floating Life_英语论文

摘要

随着我国改革开放进程逐步推进，越来越多的外国人希望了解和学习中国文化。而当今世界“西强我弱”的文化格局仍未改变，中国文化的国际影响力比较有限，为了向世界展现我国文化的魅力，译者在其中起着重要的作用。

本文从翻译与文化的关系之视角对林语堂《浮生六记》英译本的部分译例进行分析，阐释原语与译语的文化差异，中西方思维模式差异，以及译者的文化取向等文化因素对翻译的影响。

本文的研究意义在于，分析了原语与译语的文化差异，中西方思维模式差异和译者文化取向这样的文化因素对翻译的影响，探究了译者在这些文化因素的影响下应该在合适的情况下采用多种翻译方法比如异化、归化进行翻译。
