On E-C Translation of Political News from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory Exemplified by The Economist_英语论文

摘要

英语新闻是人们日常生活中获取信息的主要形式和途径。对中国读者而言，英语新闻也是我们了解国际形势的主要途径。但是，由于英汉双语在表达上存在巨大差异，汉语读者很难有效获取英语新闻所承载的信息。因此，英语新闻汉译在中西方交流中起着重要作用。

本文选取英语政治新闻为研究课题，《经济学人》为具体研究对象，以奈达功能对等翻译论为理论指导，从语义和句法两个层面研究如何做到汉语译文和英语原文的功能对等。研究表明，从语义层面提出的直译、意译以及从句法层面提出的顺译和分译的翻译策略，能够使译文真实、有效地传递原语新闻的信息，从而实现内容、形式的双重对等。
