A Tentative Study on the Narrative Strategies of the Science Fiction TV Series Westworld_英语论文

摘要

电视作为传播文化、引导娱乐的一种重要电子媒介，吸引了不少学者从不同的角度对它们行学理性考察，围绕它们所展开的理论研究可谓汗牛充栋。近年来，叙事理论的应用为广大学者研究这些电子媒介找到了新的研究通道，使他们在电子媒介领域的理论研究方面做出了突出贡献。针对电视剧叙事理论的研究著作也如雨后春笋般涌现。遗憾的是，很多学者选择从宏观出发，倾向于针对同一类型电视剧作出系统性的分析，研究题材偏向于社会、文娱等类型。虽然有不少学者将研究视角投向科幻电视剧，针对某具体科幻电视剧的详细探究却少之又少。

2016年备受欢迎的美国科幻电视剧《西部世界》讲述了在一座高科技成人乐园里，提供给游客杀戮与性欲满足的机器人有了自主意识和思维，进而觉醒并反抗人类的故事。本篇论文以这部科幻电视剧为研究对象，在叙事理论的基础上，针对其叙事策略安排和转换做出详细探究。其中，叙事策略安排从叙事结构、叙事时间和叙事空间三个方面探析这部电视剧剧集的叙事特征，而叙事策略转换则详细探索剧中的虚实转换、详略转换和场景转换。最后通过深入分析，得出《西部世界》叙事策略所产生的艺术效果以及其带给中国科幻电视剧的两点重要启示：选择适合大众的叙述文本，采取精巧独特的叙事策略。通过分析《西部世界》中的叙事策略安排，可以为中国科幻电视剧质量的提升找到一个很好的范例。
