摘要

隐喻产生于人类对客观外界的认知，源于人类的日常生活经验，它既是一种思维方式，又是一种认识世界的方法，而且在人类日常生活的认知活动中起着重要的作用。1980年，自莱考夫和约翰逊的--《我们赖以生存的隐喻》 的问世，隐喻的研究开始从传统的修辞学逐渐转移到认知语言学方面来。莱考夫和约翰逊对隐喻的认知功能进行了系统的阐述，提出了概念隐喻，开创了隐喻认知研究的新纪元。近年来，隐喻研究逐渐成为认知语言学领域的   研究热点。 越来越多来自不同视角的隐喻研究出现在认知学术界.

在本研究中，以“星”为研究对象，以莱考夫和约翰逊提出的隐喻概念为理论根据，采用定性研究和定量研究相结合的研究方法，基于现代汉语语料库和美国当代英语语料库，对比分析英汉中“星”的隐喻。本论文的研究问题如下：1)汉语和英语中“星”的概念隐喻有哪些？ 2)中英文中“星”隐喻有何异同？3)造成汉、英二语就“星”的不同概念隐喻的原因是什么？研究发现，英汉中“星”隐喻具有共性，也具有带有文化特有色彩的差异性。它为探寻中西方思维和文化差异提供途径，有利于探讨汉英民族思维和文化的共性和差异性，对词汇教学、外语教学和英汉互译方面提供帮助，同时也有助于更好地进行跨文化交际。
