摘要

《了不起的盖茨比》是美国著名作家菲茨杰拉德的代表作。从女性主义视角解读该小说，不仅能够探究三位女性人物在小说中扮演的真正角色，还能还原爵士时代下女性真实的生存环境，为更好地了解当今女性的生存环境提供借鉴与思考。根据比较分析法，父权主义视角下的《了不起的盖茨比》中的女性形象和女权主义视角下的女性形象相差甚远。在父权社会中，读者总是以父权社会的道德规范来要求女性，对背离了传统道德规范的女性均冠以“妖女”的称号。这样的解读具有一定的局限性，这正是需要重新解读《了不起的盖茨比》的现实意义所在。从女性主义视角解读《了不起的盖茨比》中的女性形象，她们再也不是自私空虚的典型人物，而是父权社会中家庭、职场和社交中的受害者。本文将运用文本分析法，重点分析《了不起的盖茨比》中的三位女性形象所遭受的不同层面的父权压制，探讨她们悲剧命运的根源，由此分析爵士时代女性的生存境遇，为解读《了不起的盖茨比》提供一个新思路。
