摘要

作为英国19世纪唯美主义的代表人物，王尔德倡导为了艺术而艺术。在他的童话中，他追求形式的完美，将多种修辞表达运用到写作当中，给读者带来美的享受，同时也带来视觉上的冲击。《夜莺与玫瑰》 是其童话代表作之一，彰显了他的唯美主义思想。本文在前人研究的基础之上，通过对《夜莺与玫瑰》中意象的分析，进一步探讨其唯美主义与社会现实的冲突。

Abstract

As the vanguard of the aestheticism in the 19th century England, Oscar Wilde advocates the principle “art for art’s sake.” In his fairy tales, he chases after the beauty of the form. The use of various rhetoric is always seen in his fairy tales. His works not only make us enjoy the beauty of the structure, but also bring the visual glitter. As one of his masterpieces, The Nightingale and The Rose demonstrates his aestheticism principles. Based on previous studies, this paper aims to further explore the conflict between the aestheticism and the social reality by analyzing the images in the text.
