摘要

乔纳森·斯威夫特与鲁迅都是我们所公认的讽刺大师，虽然两位作家生活时代和国家不同，但两人的生活经历、生存环境方面存在许多相似之处，在创作手法方面两人都擅于讽刺，但两位作家的讽刺手法在存在很多相似点的同时却存在很大的差异。“在中国文学史上，谈起犀利的文笔，极尽讽刺手法，应首推鲁迅先生。”（陈列利，2008:11）鲁迅不但作为伟大的讽刺理论家，亦是著名的讽刺艺术家，他的讽刺手法在他的系列作品中表现得栩栩如生。而乔纳森・斯威夫特作为爱尔兰同样擅长讽刺的著名作家，他脍炙人口的政论代表作品《一个温和的建议》同样讽刺辛辣，批判锋利。《一个温和的建议》和《狂人日记》就两者比较而言，有异曲同工，同时也有不同之处。本论文将从两人的讽刺代表作《狂人日记》和《一个温和的建议》出发讨论两人讽刺手法的异同。 通过两部作品的比较，探讨中国封建传统社会礼教的虚伪之处和西方理性主义旗帜下的荒谬所在。两位作家的讽刺手法对于我们书写和认识现实人生都有极大的启迪意义,作品中流露出的思想也存在着许多现实意义,这些都值得去研究和探讨。
