An Exploration into the Error Treatment of EFL Learners’ Oral Production

摘要

英语口语是英语语言能力的体现，同时也是英语教学的重点和难点。错误是学习者学习外语的必经之路，可以说，错误是语言学习的一部分。“不犯错误是学不会语言的。”Corder认为，学习者的错误是非常重要的，它可以给研究者提供学习者关于如何学习语言的证据，以及语言学习中学习者使用的方法和策略。

教师利用错误分析理论，恰当地引导学习者认识到错误产生的原因并进行有效地纠错，从而使得学习者在习得过程中增强自信心，取得更大的成就，并且促进教师教学水平的提高。教师应科学地对待学生的错误，把错误视为一种教学资源，帮助学习者从错误中获取经验。在实际教学中，教师根据错误分析理论，正确地对待学生的口语错误，有助于教师掌握学生的学习认知规律，发现自己在英语教学中存在的问题，进一步提高学生口语的准确性和流利性。

Abstract

English oral production is an important aspect to present the English language competence, which is also essential and difficult in English teaching. Errors are inevitable in SLA. Learner errors can offer learners solid information on how to learn the language and strategies learners should adopt.

Under the guidance of error analysis, teachers can help learners identify the reasons for errors and effectively treat oral errors in order to elevate the student’s confidence in the process of acquisition and to improve teacher’s teaching quality. Teachers are supposed to treat student’s errors in a scientific perspective and regard errors as the rich source of teaching materials. As to application in class, effectively treating student’s oral error is informative to teacher’s knowledge about learner’s cognitive rules in SLA and teacher’s problems in English teaching. Therefore，teachers can achieve the goal to help improve the accuracy and influence of student’s oral production.
