中学教师情绪智力对英语教学的影响_英语论文

The Influence of Emotional Intelligence of Middle School Teachers on EFL Teaching

摘要

情绪智力的提出在个人工作和社会生活中有着重要意义,也引起了社会的广泛关注。由于职业的特殊需求,教师需要善于观察、理解、表达并管理好学生及自己的情绪。随着情绪智力越来越受到人们的关注,许多研究者指出,情绪智力是一项在教学过程中占有重要地位的能力,教师应当愈加重视情绪智力及其在教学中的实际应用。本文主要探讨了教师的情绪智力在教学中的重要性:教师的情绪智力对教师的成功、师生之间的人际交往关系、知识传递的效果、学生的知识掌握以及班级氛围和课堂气氛都具有积极的影响。本文还进一步说明了提高教师情绪智力的方法。总的来说,教师应当通过情绪交流技巧来提高情绪直觉和情绪表达,通过移情来促进情绪理解力,通过情绪调控来优化情绪管理,并通过提高教育教学能力来提高教师教学效能感。

Abstract 

The proposal of Emotional Intelligence attracts much attention of its importance in individual work and social life. Due to special requirements of job, teachers are supposed to be good at observing, understanding, expressing and managing students’ and their own emotions. Many researchers pointed out that Emotional Intelligence, as an important quality, occupies an important position in teaching. This essay mainly discusses the importance of teachers’ Emotional Intelligence in English teaching. The specific results are that teachers’ Emotional Intelligence has effects on teachers’ success, interpersonal relationships between teachers and students, effectiveness of knowledge transformation, knowledge acquisition of students and classroom atmosphere and class environment. Further more, this essay presents the ways to improve teachers’ Emotional Intelligence. In general, teachers should improve their emotional perception and expression with emotional communication skills, promote their ability of emotion understanding by empathy, optimize their ability of emotional management by emotional regulation and improve teachers’ teaching efficacy by improving educational and teaching abilities. To sum up, Emotional Intelligence plays an important role in English teaching, so teachers should pay more attention to it and put it into practice.
