环保类公示语误译分析

摘要
改革开放政策使得外国人来华旅游参观人数逐年稳步增长，为迎合潮流并为外国友人提供便利，公共场合公示语翻译变的越来越必要。然而，由于译员水平的参差不齐，文化差异和其他一些因素导致了一些错误版本公示语翻译。在一定程度上影响了中国的国际形象，同时也为国际友人带来了一定困扰。本文通过实地采集网络搜索等方法收集公示语汉英翻译，从语用学角度分析并归类出三大公示语翻译误区即：语言表述错误，中式英语,与原文不当。然后，结合实际提出参考翻译方法。

Abstract
As a result of the reform and opening-up policy, the number of the international tourists who come to travel in China has maintained a sustainable and stable growth. To cater to the trend in our country and bring convenience to overseas tourists, the translation of public signs becomes more and more essential. However, the mixed levels of translators, some cultural differences and other factors lead to various incorrect version of translation presented to the public. What’s worse, the incorrect translation affects the international image of China to some degree, and it also causes trouble. In this thesis, we analyze the problems of public signs existing in C-E translation, about which each of us shall have a clear and sound understanding. Moreover, it is more than enough by just realizing the problems, we need to figure out the methods to tackle all of these questions. Therefore, the skills and methods to deal with these questions are of great importance and they should be applied while translating the public signs in our daily life. This thesis analyzes and sorts out three of the public signs mistranslation from the perspective of pragmatics. To make the analysis reliable and convincing, the public slogans are collected in some public occasions. After analysis, advice will be provided for the improper translation. Public signs are the images of the city showing its civilization and development, therefore the significance of improving translation of public language can never be exaggerated.
