语域理论视角下的金融英语篇章特点研究
The Textual Features of Financial English in Terms of Register Theory
摘要
语域理论的创建为深入研究金融英语的篇章特点提供了新的方向。为更好地掌握金融英语，本文从金融英语篇章的一般特点着手。金融英语具有广泛性，准确性，专业性，简约性等特点。在说明了语域理论的概念后，本文从系统功能语言学的理论角度，从该理论的语场，语旨和语式三个方面来分析金融英语篇章的特点。本文采用了网络调查法，运用网络资源查找资料和文献。经研究，本文得出以下结论：首先，一词多义在英语中非常普遍，但同一词放在金融英语的语境下会有特殊的含义。其次，金融英语篇章除了上述特点之外，还有迷惑性，单一性，严格性等特点。最后，将该理论运用在金融英语篇章，句子等的分析和翻译上是可行的，并将大大提高金融英语文本的专业性。

Abstract
The foundation of register theory by M.A.K.Halliday gives the research a new direction to exploit the features of financial English text much deeper. In order to grasp the knowledge of the financial English, this paper analyzes the general features of financial English texts. Generally speaking, it has the features of universality, accuracy, profession and conciseness. Then it illustrates the definition of register theory and it is analyzed theoretically from the perspective of systemic functional linguistics. The main content is the analysis of the financial English texts’ features in the terms of register theory which consists of three parts: field, tenor and mode. The paper adopts Internet research approaches and applies the Internet resource to search information and references. After analyzing, there are three conclusions in the paper: first of all, although it is universal that one word has several meanings in English, it is found that more words and phrases have different meanings due to the different financial English contexts. Secondly, except the features above mentioned, there are features of puzzling, oneness and stringency. Last but not least, it is feasible to use the register theory to analyze the texts, the sentences and the phrases of the financial English and it also can highly improve the profession of the financial English texts.
