从功能对等理论看现代散文英译-以《英译中国现代散文选》为例_英语论文

A Study of Modern Prose Translation from Functional Equivalence Theory: A case of Selected Modern Chinese Prose Writings

摘要

本文从奈达的功能对等理论角度出发，以《英译中国现代散文选》为例，研究现代中国散文英译。功能对等理论是奈达翻译理论的核心，强调译入语读者对译文的反应与原文读者对原文的反应基本一致。《英译中国现代散文选》作为我国著名翻译家张培基教授的力作，从出版以来就一直广受欢迎，令许多读者和翻译爱好者受益匪浅，也为中国现代散文英译的研究提供了很好的参考和借鉴。

本文共分为四章。第一章是简介，介绍了本文的研究背景、研究意义以及文章的框架结构。第二章是文献综述，主要陈述一些基本概念。第三章是文章的主体部分，结合《英译中国现代散文选》从功能对等理论的三个层次出发对现代散文英译作进一步的研究。最后一章是结论，包含对于本研究的主要发现及本文的不足之处。

Abstract

This thesis is a study of modern prose translation from the perspective of functional equivalence theory, which takes Selected Modern Chinese Prose Writings as a case. Functional equivalence theory is the core of Nida’s translation theory, emphasizing that readers of target language should make substantially the same response as readers of source language do. Besides, Selected Modern Chinese Prose Writings, is well-received since it was published, written by Professor Zhang Peiji, who is one of the best translators in China. Meanwhile, it not only helps readers and translators acquire a lot, but provides an appropriate reference for Chinese modern prose translation.

This thesis consists of four parts. Chapter One is introduction, which offers background,  significance of the research and structure of the thesis. Chapter Two is literature review, which mainly states some basic concepts. Chapter Three is the major part of this thesis, which takes the study of modern prose translation from the three levels of functional equivalence theory with the case of Selected Modern Chinese Prose Writings. The last chapter is conclusion, including major findings and limitations of this thesis.
