缩略词在商务英语合同中的研究
A Study on the Application of Abbreviations in English Trading Contracts
摘要
随着经济全球化的不断发展，世界已成为一个地球村。越来越多的贸易活动提升了一个国家的经济和文化，这已经成为一个不可逆转的趋势。在国际商务活动的进程中，商务英语合同有着非常重要的意义。长时间以来，学者们在这之中研究了多个不同的领域。英语缩略词在商务英语合同中应用频繁。然而尽管如此，对于英语缩略词的应用在商务英语合同中的研究却少之又少。本篇研究将着眼于英语缩略词在商务英语合同中使用的必要性以及分析其在商务英语合同中的规范应用。在本研究中，作者将通过大量文献查阅研究对英语缩略词的起源和发展进行探讨。同时，英语缩略词的类型和特点也将详细地在本次研究中展开。虽然在一定的程度上，英语缩略词在合同中有着重要不可替代的地位，但它仍然存在一些普遍的弊端，这也将在本篇研究中有所提及。通过本研究，我们可以发现使用英语缩略词能够使合同更加简洁明了，既节省了文本空间，又避免了信息重复，同时也有利于简明清晰地划分买方和卖方之间的责任。在其实际使用过程中，需要注意英语缩略词正确使用方法以及它的规范性。

Abstract
With the economic globalization, the world has already become a global village. More and more frequent trade activities improve a nation’s economy and culture, which also turns into an irresistible trend. English trading contracts are of great importance in the process of international business activities. Scholars have studied different aspects of trading contracts since a long time ago. Abbreviations are frequently used in English trading contracts. Nevertheless, there are only a small number of studies on the application of English abbreviations in English trading contracts. This study will focus on the necessity of the English abbreviations using in English trading contracts and analyze the practical application of them in trading contracts. The author will uses some research methods such as using the library, literature research method to mainly discuss about the origin and evolution of English abbreviations. Meanwhile, the types and features of English abbreviations will be analyzed in detail. Although abbreviations are important in contracts, some common defects of their use in contracts which will be showed in this study. Through this paper, it can be found that English abbreviations can make contracts much more concise and make clear the responsibilities of the sellers and buyers. In their practical use, the correct and standard of using English abbreviations should be noticed.
