从许渊冲“三美论”赏析《今夜你是否感到恩爱》两个译本_英语论文

Appreciation of Two Versions of Can You Feel the Love Tonight from Xu Yuanzhong’s “Three Beauty Theory”

摘要

随着全球化的发展，国际交往日益密切，各国之间文化交融也更加频繁。大量英文歌曲传入中国并逐渐流行起来，然而语言文化差异在一定程度上阻碍了国人对英文歌曲的理解与欣赏。鉴于此，英文歌词的翻译具有极大的现实意义。英文歌词的翻译不仅仅局限于传达词意，更应该传递一种美感。本文将从许渊冲“三美论”入手，分析电影《狮子王》主题曲《今夜你是否感到恩爱》的两种译本，挖掘歌词翻译中的意美，音美和形美。

Abstract

With the development of globalization, the international communication is becoming increasingly close and the cultural blending between countries is more frequent. A lot of English songs are introduced into China and gradually become popular, but language and culture differences to some extent hinder the Chinese people from understanding and appreciating English songs. In view of this, English lyrics translation is of great practical significance, which should convey the sense of beauty instead of being limited to the conveyance of meaning. From Xu Yuanzhong’s “Three Beauty Theory”, this paper attempts to analyze the two versions of the theme song Can You Feel the Love Tonight of The Lion King, exploring the beauty of meaning, beauty of sound and beauty of form in lyrics translation.
