葛浩文英译版《生死疲劳》中暴力语言的生态翻译学解读_英语论文
An Interpretation of the Violent Language in Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out from the Perspective of Eco-translatology

Abstract
Mo Yan is the first Chinese writer who has won the Nobel Prize for Literature. His works contain strong flavors of Magic Realism. Violent language is a major feature of his novels. As one of the most influential works of Mo Yan, Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out fully embodies the features of violent language. However, little attention was payed on the translation strategies of violent language in this novel. This paper attempts to explore the translation strategies of violent language in the English version of Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out from the perspective of three ecological dimensions of Eco-translatology, focusing on the interpretation and transformation of different languages, cultures and communication conditions. From language dimension, Howard Goldblatt transfers Chinese language pattern to English pattern; from culture dimension, he translates the same parts of the two cultures directly while explains the different parts to help target readers understand; from communication dimension, he adds or reduces some aspects to deliver the hidden information of the original text. Thus, Howard Goldblatt realizes the transformation of the three dimensions.
