摘要

随着全球化的快速发展，各国之间文化的交流也日益频繁，翻译作为沟通两国语言文化桥梁的重要性日益凸显，英语隐喻修辞的汉语翻译成为广大学者和研究人员关注的重点。本研究从英语隐喻的定义与分类着手，借用尤金·奈达的功能对等理论探究英语隐喻的汉译方法，以求原文和译文达到功能对等的效果。研究认为转化成中文隐喻形式、转化成中文明喻形式、意译是三种有效英语隐喻的翻译策略。最后论文通过分析中文和英语语言结构的差异、中西方文化的差异、人们思维模式的差异分析造成中英两种语言之间转换困难的原因。
