摘 要
商标是广告的一部分,是一个商品的门面,对于美化企业形象、促进消费起着不可或缺的重要作用。随着全球一体化,商业竞争日益激烈,人们逐渐意识到了商标及商标翻译的重要性并对商标翻译产生了紧迫的需求。对于商标翻译的研究已经不在少数,然而对于化妆品商标翻译的研究还不够细致入微。
在翻译中功能理论是最为重要的理论。化妆品商标的首要功能就是具有呼唤性,因此,在化妆品商标的翻译过程中要遵循美感的传承,使之能引导消费,促进消费,增加商家效益。在这种背景下,译者在翻译过程中就必须考虑到消费者心理、文化地域差异及美学价值等重要因素。
本文通过对个案的研究,来介绍化妆品商标翻译的重要性及化妆品商标的主要翻译方法。

Abstract
Brand name, a part of advertising, is the symbol of the brand. Brand name is helpful to promote the corporation image and stimulate consumption. Because of the globalization of business, people began to realize the significance of brand name translation. Thus, there is a keener need for translation of brand names. Even though, brand name translation has emerged for a long period, there is still a lack of comprehensive and in-depth research, especially on the translation of cosmetic brand names.
The most important rule in translation is functionalist theory. As the cosmetic brand names should arouse the interest of the consumers and preserve the aesthetic value, first concern of the translation of cosmetic brand names should be given to the vocative function. Under this background, translator should concern about the charm of the original text during translating.
This paper will introduce the signification of cosmetic brand name translation and some translation strategies (linguistic relevance strategy and product relevance strategy) and some main methods (transliteration, literal translation, transliteration and literal translation, and adaptation) of cosmetic brand name translation by analyzing the translation of cosmetic brand names randomly collected from supermarkets, department stores and websites.

1 Introduction
Brand name is a kind of advertising. Brand name plays a vital role in marketing activity. Translation of brand name has emerged for decades as business communication with the developing of globalization. There have been quite a few scholars focusing on the research of brand name translation in China. Cosmetic brand name translation has been more and more important in markets.
