Abstract
The rapid development of global economic integration and trade globalization has increasingly brought the activities of economy and trade of China more prosperous. Being one of the bridges of international exchange, foreign trade correspondence plays an irreplaceable role in international communication. Plenty of studies have been carried out by translators both at home and abroad. Among them, Nida’s theory of dynamic equivalence has been highly valued. As Nida(1969) himself wrote in the glossary of The Theory and Practice of Translation, dynamic equivalence is the "quality of a translation in which the message of the original text has been so transported into the receptor language that the response of the receptor is essentially like that of the original receptors." In order to prove the applicability of dynamic equivalence theory to E-C translation of foreign trade correspondence, this paper mainly adopts comparative method. This paper firstly contrasts Nida’s dynamic equivalence theory to other theorists’ equivalence theories. Secondly, the language features of foreign trade correspondence are summarized from lexical, syntactic, and textual levels. Finally, the usage of dynamic equivalence in English to Chinese translation for foreign trade correspondence will be presented to prove that Nida’s dynamic equivalence theory is perfectly suitable for guiding foreign trade correspondence translation.

1 Introduction
This paper explores how to apply dynamic equivalence in E-C translation of foreign trade correspondence from three aspects: lexical features, syntactic features and textual features.
1.1 Definition of equivalence theory
Equivalence theory occurred as early as two thousand years ago. It means when translating, the translator should be faithful to the original ideas, style, and then make the translated text as smooth as original.
