摘　要

电影是一种艺术形式，同时也是一种商品。它已成为我们生活中不可或缺的一部分。电影不仅是人们喜爱的一种娱乐方式，而且是文化交流传递的重要手段。伴随着全球一体化，越来越多的英文电影作品被引进国内。这些电影作品也成为跨文化交流的重要手段。电影字幕是电影的重要组成部分，它能让观众更好地理解影片的意义。而现今的电影字幕翻译质量参差不齐，一定程度上会影响电影主旨传递的准确性。所以，电影字幕翻译质量的提高就变得越来越重要了。电影字幕翻译研究在国外已经由来已久,并且己经有了很好的发展。而在国内的发展却相对较晚，我国在这方面的研究正处于摸索和发展初期阶段。
本文主要从电影字幕翻译理论、技巧以及基本翻译原则等方面研究电影字幕翻译。研究以电影《功夫熊猫》为具体案例，分析其中的字幕翻译，进而展望了未来电影字幕发展的趋势。

Abstract

The film is a form of art as well as a commodity. It is widely acknowledged that films have become part of our life. Film is not only a favorite form of entertainment, but also an important means of cultural transmission. With the globalization of the world, more and more English films are introduced into China, which becomes an important means of intercultural interactions. The subtitles are the important part of the film, which can let audience understand the meaning of the film better. The quality of today's film subtitles translation is uneven. To some degree, it may do harm to the transfer of the film theme. As a result, the quality of film subtitles translation becomes more and more important. And it has a long history and has gained certain development in some foreign counties, but relatively fall behind at home.
The thesis studies the subtitles translation from film subtitles translation theory，strategies, fundamental principles and so on. And it analyzes the subtitles translation based on the film Kung Fu panda. In addition, the analysis of examples and the hope for the film subtitles translation’s future development are involved.

1 Introduction
1.1 Research background
In 1893, kinetoscope was invented by Thomas Edison. And it was seen as the starting of the film history. Later in 1896, the launch of vitascope brings mass screening to American films. Gradually, films became a mass civilian entertainment in America and even around the world. Extending beyond the field of art, it became a part of people's lives and exerted a strong influence in many aspects，including people's language, living patterns, and even values.
