摘要：

现代社会，新闻报道是人们了解信息、获取信息的主要途径。而新闻标题是新闻的眼睛，是新闻的重要组成部分,也是吸引读者注意力的关键。准确理解新闻标题对新闻的选择和理解至关重要，因而对其标题的特点及对其翻译技巧的研究显得非常必要。本文通过大量实例对财经类英语新闻标题进行深入研究，认为财经新闻标题具有简洁精练、形象生动、专业性强、句型结构较固定的特点，而这些特点又通过词汇、语法、修辞以及丰富的文化内涵得以实现。此外，通过对财经英语新闻标题特点的研究，在财经英语新闻标题的翻译技巧方面，笔者提出直译、意译和使用翻译权衡手法三种翻译策略，旨在表明财经英文新闻标题汉译不仅需要译者的语言、文化、专业的综合能力，而且更要考虑读者的关注点和接受能力，使国内读者能更准的选择和理解财经英语新闻，从而用新闻的眼睛更好地理解和关注世界。

Abstract：

In modern society, people get information mainly via media means. Headlines，an inseparable component of news，serve as the role of eyes．They are not only an important part of the press, but also the key to attract the attention of the readers. Thus, the research on features and translation skills of financial English news headlines is very necessary and meaningful to its accurate choice and understanding. Through many examples, the paper reveals the most salient stylistic features of the genre, that financial English news headlines are concise, expressive, vivid, professional and sometimes with certain language patterns, and these characteristics can be achieved by vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric, and rich culture. Accordingly, This paper puts forward three strategies for translating news headlines，namely literal translation, free translation and balance translation, and argues that a good translation of English news headlines depends not only on translator’s competence such as a good command of language, their cultural and other related knowledge，but also on their judgment of the target readers’ aesthetic tendency and reception, so as to make it possible for the domestic readers to learn about the world by using the eyes of English news.
