Abstract

With the gradual implement of the strategy of building an innovation-oriented country, it is an evitable trend for science and technology to have a rapid development. Academic exchanges on science and technology are happening with increasing frequency. Abstract of scientific paper is important to the spread of scientific paper and it plays an important role in the academic thesis retrieval. Therefore, in order to meet the need of scientific and technological exchanges, the translation of abstracts becomes important and the quality of translation of abstract of scientific papers determines the communication and exchange of scientific achievements. However, owing to the short research history in English for Science and Technology (EST), there remains many problems in the field of the C-E translation of abstract of scientific paper which should arouse the attention of scientific research personnel.
This paper consists of four parts. It firstly deals with the English for science and technology, as well as scientific papers followed by the introduction of features of abstract of scientific papers. Then, it analyzes the common mistakes in abstract translation. Thirdly, the paper introduces functional equivalence theory and the application of it in brief. Finally, this paper points out the method of correct translation of abstract translation, and sums up the concrete translation techniques of abstract of scientific papers.

摘  要

随着我国建设创新型国家战略的逐步深化, 科学技术的跨越式发展成为必然趋势。科学技术的国际学术交流愈加频繁。科技论文摘要对科技论文的传播极为重要，它们在学术论文检索中的发挥着重要的作用,因此，为了满足科技交流的需要,科技论文摘要的英译更为关键，它们在学术论文检索中的发挥着重要的作用。然而，由于我国在科技英语翻译领域的研究时间不长，因此，科技论文摘要的英译存在许多问题，这应引起科研人员的注意。
本文分为四部分。文章在第一部分介绍了科技英语及科技英语论文。紧接着分析归纳了科技英语论文摘要中的常见错误。第三部分,作者简要介绍了奈达的功能对等理论及其在科技英语论文摘要翻译中的应用。本文最后一部分简要归纳了翻译的具体步骤和翻译时采用的具体方法,以帮助译者更好的翻译科技英语论文的摘要。
