Abstract:

Being a critical concept of medio-translatology, creative treason represents the understanding, translation and interpretation of the original text, which is another way to express the original meaning set up by the author in the course of the spread of the original text in the context of receptor language ( 刘小刚, 2006: 129). Creative treason is a kind of deep fidelity in translation, which is associated with the subjects of translation (the author, the translator/ interpreter and readers), the cultural exchange and transmission as well as the development of society itself and the background of the culture. As is known to all, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is considered as one of the classical publications among children. As soon as it came out, it has acquired substantial popularity from children and adults. Based on literature review, this article introduces the applications of creative treason in Yuen Ren Chao’s translation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, influencing factors of creative treason including cultural background, history and social development, ideology, translation purpose, target readers, market demand and so on to analyze the relation between creative treason and its cultural psychology.

摘要：

“创造性叛逆”是译介学中的一个核心概念，它是原语文本在译入语语境流传过程中作者本意表达的另一种翻译、理解和诠释。“创造性叛逆”是翻译中的一种深度忠实，它与翻译主体（即作者、译者和读者），文化的交流和传播以及社会自身的发展，社会文化背景息息相关。众所周知，《爱丽丝梦游仙境》是儿童读物中的经典名作。自出版以来，在儿童和成人中广受欢迎。本文在阅读相关文献基础上，将叙述论证“创造性叛逆”在赵元任先生所译的《阿丽思漫游奇境记》的运用，影响“创造性叛逆”的相关因素，如：文化发展的背景，社会变革的历史，意识形态，翻译目的，目标读者，市场需求等, 从而分析“创造性叛逆”与背后的社会文化心理的联系。

Introduction
There is an inherent criterion in translation, that is, translation must be faithful to the original text. However, cultural and linguistic differences will always lead to untranslatability. In translation, a piece of work is put into another language system where the frames or references between the words and meanings are not the same. It is impossible to translate word for word or phrase for phrase. Therefore, the mechanic conversion will absolutely result in certain kind of treason and the target language has to run counter to source language from time to time. Creative treason reflects not only what translators have done to coordinate cultural diversification in a positive way but also what contribution the translator has done. With the development of society and culture, translation theories have undergone a sea change. Now many experts believe creative treason used in an ingenious or a proper way may lead to real faithfulness to the original text. Just as an old saying goes: I betray because I do not betray, I do not betray because I betray.
